Research funding in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
The Research Commission provides the faculties with funding to be spent on research support. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has set up a committee to draw up a proposal for the allocation of these funds (KVF). Within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Research Commission’s funds are used exclusively to support early-career researchers in the form of start-up grants for research projects (equipment and staff costs).
Applications for start-up grants must be submitted to the Chair of the KVF by 31 March each year. The funding guidelines can be found here (Funding Guidelines for the Research Reserve). For further information or assistance with the application process, please contact Dr Hemsel.
