You are welcome to arrange a personal consultation by emailing praktikum@mb.uni-paderborn.de. Please describe your concerns in your enquiry. This will allow us to better plan the time required and prepare all the necessary documents for you. It is also helpful if you can provide a telephone number so that we can contact you by telephone if necessary.

 

Re­cog­ni­tion of in­tern­ships

Reports of completed internships can only be submitted by e-mail to the e-mail address praktikum@mb.uni-paderborn.de possible. Please send all documents required by the internship regulations (certificate of study with study regulations, e.g. v3b, v4; internship report, company stamp, affidavit, internship certificate) in one coherent PDF to the e-mail address of the Internship Office. Drive links, Word documents, photos etc. will not be considered and will not be processed. In addition, the Internship Office will only process complete documents (in accordance with the internship regulations) and forward them to the Examinations Office if they are recognised.

Sub­mis­sion of the in­tern­ship doc­u­ments

  • Please inform yourself carefully about the internship regulations that apply to you. (Note: there may be differences depending on your examination regulations).
  • Find a suitable work placement company yourself in accordance with the requirements of your work placement regulations. Please note that we are unfortunately unable to offer internship placements.
  • Get in touch with the company and write an application.
  • Complete the internship areas specified in the internship regulations.
  • Complete your internship report in accordance with the internship regulations by the deadline. (Please note the respective deadlines!) Please also note that no blocking notes may be listed in the report due to archiving.

You at least need

  • a topical study certificate with naming of professional semestre number and course of studies (the "big" study certificate)
  • The original training period certificate of the company
  • Each page numbered training period reports with stamp of the company, signature and date on the last side in the original
  • Student identity card

Your examination regulations make an internship inevitable for you. The internship and its’ duration are fixed and very important for your final grade. In addition, the trainee's office does not issue special certificates.

There are no formal guidelines. However, in order to guarantee an approval, you should consider the guidelines provided in the internship regulations.

This question cannot be answered in general, because the courses of studies have different requirements. Please, clarify the facts relevant for you before you start your studies. Concerning this matter, the student counseling will always support you.

No. A personal appearance is necessary for data protection reasons and for reasons of authenticity.

The demands of the internship order concern a big range of aspects, which you need to check. A close look at your internship regulations or visiting consultation-hours of the trainee's office will help you.

The training period order is generally valid for the respective course of studies and cannot be changed specifically for person. A deviation from the generally valid internship regulations is not possible.

Please visit the trainee’s office during their consultation-hours. We ask for your understanding that these appointments may chance as a cause of illness/ vacation. Any changes are online on the web page of the trainee's office.

In general, for any questions the consultation-hours are quicker and more efficiently answered than it would be possible by email.

No! The temporal duty extent is regulated in the internship regulations. Different certificates may not be valid (see also FAQ 9).
