In order to provide you with all the relevant information about starting your studies and to give you the best possible start to your studies, there is the O-Phase organised by the student council and HG Wing:

• O-Phase Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Additive Manufacturing
• O-Phase Industrial Engineering

Basically, the same offer from the MB and HG Wing student councils applies to you as for first-semester Bachelor students; in addition, we organise an information event on the specialisations by the specialisation advisors, in which they introduce themselves and their offer to you, followed by a PAUL introduction.

We have also prepared a digital Master-O-Phase for you. The course set up for this will be available via the learning platform PANDA at the start of the summer semester 2025. The course is aimed at all new entrants to the Master's degree programmes in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering with Mechanical Engineering. The course includes a detailed presentation of the specialisations and majors that can be chosen in these degree programmes (if you don't want to wait that long, you can of course find out more on our homepage and contact the specialisation advisors in advance). In addition, we will introduce you to the other counselling services offered by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and give you a brief digital introduction to PAUL (albeit still in the old web design).
