Kunststofftechnik Paderborn (KTP) was represented at the 29th Symposium on Processing and Application of Polymers (Technomer) at Chemnitz University of Technology on 6 and 7 November 2025. Five scientific employees presented current results from various fields of plastics technology to an audience of experts from research and industry.
- In Section 7 (Extrusion and Film Technology), Felix Knaup presented his studies on "Determination of solid bed strength for the prediction of solid bed fractures in single-screw extruders".
- In Section 6 (Joining Technology), Paul Leonhard Völklein presented a paper on the "Heating behaviour of organic sheets using IR radiation for joining using the punch riveting process".
- In Section 1 (Injection Moulding), Florian Löhr explained his results on the "Investigation of combinations of thermosets and elastomers for the single-stage 2K injection moulding process".
- In Section 5 (Additive Manufacturing), Maximilian Salm presented a poster on the "Influence of FFF process parameters on the electrical conductivity of conductive TPE composites".
- Jonas Beutelspacher also presented a poster in Section 5 on "Influence of layer structure on the compressive strength of FDM components - a conceptual modelling approach".
Once again this year, Technomer 2025 provided an excellent platform for professional dialogue on current developments in plastics processing. Participation enabled KTP researchers to present their work to an interdisciplinary audience, make new contacts and gain valuable impetus for future projects.
