The Alliance for the Future of Tyres (AZuR) is committed to an environmentally friendly circular economy for tyres in Europe. The focus is on the sustainable production of new tyres, while used tyres should remain in the material cycle through retreading, repair or recycling. More than 80 AZuR partners from industry, trade and science cover all fields of the tyre circular economy. With their research projects and studies, the universities in the AZuR network contribute valuable suggestions for the optimisation of processes and the further development of tyre recycling technologies. AZuR's successful circular economy model is recognised worldwide and serves as a role model that can also be transferred to other regions and waste streams.
