FA11 Meet­ing of the DVS in Pader­born

On March 21, the meeting of Technical Committee 11 of DVS (Deutscher Verband für Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren e. V.) was held for the first time at KTP in Paderborn. DVS Technical Committee 11 specializes in the subject of plastic joining.

Representatives from industry and science gather for the biannual meetings to receive the latest information about the DVS research association and the AiF-IGF funding program from the chairmen Dr.-Ing Christoph Heering (DVS) and Dr.-Ing. Odo Karger (Hella). In addition, current trends in the research field of plastic joining will be discussed in order to generate possible new research ideas.

The meeting will focus on the presentation of the AiF-IGF projects that have been applied for and approved on the topic of joining plastics through DVS as a research association, as well as the reporting of these ongoing projects. Furthermore, new research ideas are presented and discussed.

In this meeting, the KTP was able to present the research results of three currently running projects and a new project idea in the form of an outline.
