As part of the internationalisation of the LWF, a closed meeting was held in Edinburgh, Scotland, in April 2025. Together with the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), forward-looking project ideas were exchanged there. The LWF presented current research projects and took part in a workshop on innovative joining and manufacturing technologies. The aim of the trip was to further strengthen the LWF's global network and provide new impetus for international research activities.
