On 9 October 2025, the KTP Kunststofftechnik team visited the K trade fair in Düsseldorf - the international meeting place for the plastics and rubber industry. The aim was to find out about the latest trends and technological developments and to gain inspiration for future projects.
The first stop was at Brückner, where innovative film solutions were presented - both for the food sector and for applications in Electrical Engineering, for example as battery separator or capacitor films.
A visit to KraussMaffei was then on the programme. This year, the focus was particularly on reducing machine sizes in order to increase output per area. In addition, a process was presented in which glass fibre rovings are compounded directly in the injection moulding unit in order to reduce material costs and increase efficiency.
Windmöller & Hölscher showed how AI-based process optimisation can increase the throughput of blown film lines - by automatically coordinating all components.
The tour of the trade fair concluded at Reifenhäuser. There, the focus was on AI-supported training concepts and a specially developed product LLM. These innovations are intended to help counteract the shortage of skilled labour and solve production challenges efficiently.
We would like to thank all exhibitors for the exciting insights and professional dialogue.
