The Kunststofftechnik Paderborn (KTP) was represented at the international conference ‘Polymers 2026: Trends, Innovation and Future’ in Nanjing, China.
The event took place from 25 to 28 June 2026 and brought together scientists from the fields of polymer science, polymer technology and polymer engineering.
The conference focused on current developments and future challenges in polymer research. The programme covered topics ranging from the synthesis and processing of polymers, through sustainable materials concepts and polymer composites, to applications and environmental aspects of polymeric materials.
On behalf of the KTP, Hao Feng presented his research findings on 27 June 2026 in the ‘Polymer Processing’ session on the topic:
‘Combining CFD Simulation and Experimental Investigation for the Development of Adaptable Single-Screw Extruder Mixing Elements’.
In his presentation, he outlined an approach that combines CFD simulations and experimental investigations to develop adaptable mixing elements for single-screw extruders. The aim is to better adapt mixing processes in plastics processing to different operating conditions and material requirements.
Participation in Polymers 2026 provided the KTP with the opportunity to present its latest research findings in an international setting, to gather expert feedback and to gain new insights for its future work in the field of polymer processing.
