Plastics engineers from Paderborn at the 36th International Conference of the PPS in Canada

From 26 to 29 September 2021, plastics engineers from all over the world presented their current projects and research results at the PPS-36 (36th International Conference of the Polymer Processing Society) in Montréal, Canada. Due to the ongoing worldwide travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held as a hybrid event. For Kunststofftechnik Paderborn (KTP), the scientific staff members Jonas Köllermeier and Franziska Bürenhaus were on site and gave technical presentations on the following topics:

- Development of a Dynamic Strategy to Determine the Optimal Barrel Temperature of Single Screw Extruders (Jonas Köllermeier)

- Investigation of Fiber Orientation and its Influence on Fiber Length Degradation in Simple Shear Flow for Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene (Franziska Bürenhaus)

- Influence of Fiber Geometry and Sizing on Glass Fiber Breakage (Franziska Bürenhaus)
