Whitsun excursion from 10-13 June 2025 in Nuremberg

In June 2025, Paderborn plastics technology students went on an excursion to Nuremberg lasting several days, during which they visited various plastics and Electrical Engineering companies. The aim was to gain practical impressions of industry and development and to familiarise themselves with everyday working life in different fields.

The first stop was Essex Solutions, a company that specialises in the production of enamelled wires for electric motors. The tour then continued to ALLOD, where the material development process and the production of thermoplastic elastomers were presented.

At Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, the participants were given an insight into the work of process engineers and the production of injection moulding machines. A factory tour rounded off the visit.

UVEX was visited at the end of the trip. A guided tour also focussed on the day-to-day work of an engineer and the production of safety eyewear at the plant.

We would like to thank all the companies visited and everyone involved in the organisation for the interesting insights and support for this excursion.
