Girls' Day

Every April, the annual Girls' Day takes place! During this event, female secondary students can find out how exciting the job of an engineer can be. Girls obtain a first look at the College of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Paderborn and their degree programs Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Chemical Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering.

For Girls' Day, the College of Mechanical Engineering offers workshops with real-world project examples. Young women can experience the technology of tomorrow and can test for themselves just what can be done with technology. They have the chance to discover, for example, what exactly lightweight construction, mechatronics, or control engineering is, or how regenerative energy can be used for the benefit of the environment.
