As part of our Thermal Joining Processes course, we had the opportunity this week to visit a real highlight right on our doorstep: HOLON GmbH.
It is impressive to see how tomorrow's mobility is being developed in Paderborn. HOLON is developing autonomous, fully electric and inclusive shuttles (known as ‘movers’) that could revolutionise public transport.
Our highlights on site:
Vision & strategy: We gained deep insights into the company's ongoing projects and ambitious goals.
Technology up close: The tour of the frame production facility was particularly exciting for us. Here, we were able to see the theory from the lecture directly applied in an industrial setting.
Hands-on experience with the movers: We were not only able to examine the finished movers up close, but also experience them from the inside.
A big thank you to the HOLON team for their hospitality and the exciting insights into the manufacturing processes! It is motivating to see how innovative the industry in our region is.
