KTP represented at the International Rubber Conference (IRC) 2025 in Bangkok

Kunststofftechnik Paderborn (KTP) was represented at the International Rubber Conference (IRC) in Bangkok, Thailand, from 1 to 3 December 2025. The IRC is one of the world's most important conferences for rubber and elastomer technology and brings together researchers, industry representatives and international expert committees every year to discuss the latest scientific and technological developments.

This year, two KTP researchers presented current research results from various key areas of elastomer and composite technology:

Jonas Petzke presented two papers at once:

- In the session "Recycling and Circular Economy in the Rubber Industry", he presented his work on "Thermo-Chemical Devulcanisation of Sulfur-Cured Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) Using Diphenyldisulfide (DPDS)".

- In the session "Enhancing Durability and Performance of Rubber Products", he explained the "Experimental Analysis of the Mixing Behaviour of Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Rubber (EPDM) in a Rubber Pin Extruder under Variation of Process Parameters and Mixing Elements".

Florian Löhr presented his results in the session "Rubbers and Rubber Composites - Innovations for Unexplored and Sustainable Applications" on the topic of

"Thermoset-Rubber 2K Composite Systems: Material Combinations and Interfacial Reactions in a One-Step Injection Moulding Process".

IRC 2025 provided an excellent platform for international scientific exchange and enabled KTP researchers to present their work to a global audience of experts. In addition to exciting discussions and valuable feedback from the international community, numerous new contacts were made and impetus was gained for future joint research projects.
