The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering would like to encourage you to complete parts of your degree programme abroad. In cooperation with the International Office of Paderborn University, we have compiled all the information on this page that is relevant for the recognition of academic achievements from abroad.

Please refer to the information provided by the International Office, in particular the guideline on the recognition of academic achievements. The prerequisite for the recognition of academic achievements from abroad is the conclusion of a Learning Agreement BEFORE the start of the stay abroad.

Procedure for the recognition of academic achievements from abroad:

• You should complete the appropriate form/learning agreement (freemover, partner universities or ERASMUS+ => OLA) BEFORE you start your studies abroad.
• You can obtain the recognition recommendation for the individual courses from the respective lecturer at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
• Once you have completed the application for credit transfer, it must be submitted centrally to the relevant student counselling service in the Student Service Office or to the relevant Examinations Office. The application will then be forwarded to the responsible examination board of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for overall recognition and processing.
