Sustainability and Transformation

For many companies and institutions, the simultaneous sustainability and digital transformation is a huge challenge that requires specialised professionals. The specialisation in sustainability and transformation deals with the design and implementation of environmentally friendly technical processes and systems in harmony with ecological, economic and social goals.

What you will learn

The focus is on the far-reaching reorganisation of industry, energy supply and mobility in order to master the transition from fossil to renewable resources. In doing so, we also look beyond the technical horizon: findings from life cycle analysis and systems thinking are incorporated into the interdisciplinary modelling and optimisation of products, processes and entire value chains. The main challenge lies in the development, evaluation and implementation of sustainable solutions - from increasing energy and resource efficiency through eco-analysis and defossilisation to establishing a functioning circular economy.
