Process Engineering

Process Engineering deals with processes that change materials in terms of their manner, characteristics and composing. Energy engineering deals with thermal and chemical energy conversions. Results from process engineering theoretical and experimental work are used for modelings and computer-based process simulations. The main tasks of a process engineer are the design and optimization of whole processes or single process steps, as well as the design of plants and devices. Process- and chemical emgineers are represented in the chemical-, energy-, food- and pharmaceutical industry, as well as in correspomdig equipment manufacturers.
